Pieces of the past
Like the V&A Museum nearby, Donne Place is dotted with historical objects. A grandfather clock ticks in the sitting room (opposite the front door), where pieces of a stone frieze stand on white shelves. Weathered leather chairs flank a fireplace on the left, and straight ahead is the kitchen. With white cabinets and a sloping skylight, it’s modern, but not without the odd vintage touch, like the seascape artwork hanging opposite the dining table.
The paved garden, out through glass doors, is bordered by climbing flowers and a bench. In the sitting room is a staircase that leads up to the first floor. Here you’ll find a bathroom, as well as the master bedroom, which has a mahogany sleigh bed and a contemporary ensuite. On the second floor, there’s a cream-walled double bedroom.
This home does not accept babies, toddlers or children.
This home's master bedroom has a large double bed which is 145cm wide.
This home doesn't have air conditioning. Between June and September, we'll place fans in each bedroom. Please let us know if you'd like fans outside the summer period.
Some noise from the nearby train station can be heard inside the home, particularly during the day.
This home is spread over four floors with no internal elevator.
The lead guest must be at least 25 years of age.
Cancellation. Provided you book more than 7 days before the start of your stay, you can cancel your booking within 24 hours and we’ll provide a full refund.
Check-in and check-out. We’ll meet you at the home at your convenience any time after 4PM on your arrival date, and our standard check-out time is 11AM. Early check-in and late
check-out can be arranged in advance, subject to availability and a charge.
Lead guest. The lead guest must be at least 25 years of age.
I.D. check and card authorisation. When you arrive we’ll check the lead guest’s I.D. and secure a £1,000 hold on a credit or debit card which will be released once we confirm no damage
was caused during your stay.
Smoking. Guests are not permitted to smoke inside any onefinestay home.
Cleaning. We carefully clean and prepare each home before you arrive and after you depart, and for stays longer than seven days we provide a complimentary weekly Housekeeping service.
More frequent Housekeeping visits can be arranged on request, subject to availability and a charge.
Payment. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express, and bank transfers for stays with at least 7 days’ notice.
