Tucked away on a peaceful cobbled cul-de-sac, Simon Close is one of Portobello’s best-kept secrets. This area places you in the heart of trendy Notting Hill. With four bedrooms and comfortably sleeping up to ten guests, it’s the perfect choice for a family vacation in one of the capital’s most bohemian and laid-back areas.

Famous for Portobello Market, its annual street carnival, and for being the backdrop for several famous films, Notting Hill is a vibrant part of the city. Colourful shop fronts sit alongside world-renowned restaurants. Vintage lovers will want to spend plenty of time browsing the market – best visited on a Saturday, although you’ll find stalls lining the street all week. For movie fans, tours of the most famous locations can be seen on the Notting Hill Film Tour. Or take a stroll around one of London’s more unusual museums, the Museum of Brands on Lancaster Road.

Simon Close is spread across three levels, each one decorated in a modern style with neutral colourways but with the home’s traditional features still incorporated into the décor. The entrance level welcomes you with the home’s second sitting room, a large family kitchen and a playroom for the children, making this a very family-orientated home. The first level down takes you to the main sitting room, where the cool white interior is offset by a hot pink rug that gives the room real character.

The second guest bedroom is also located on the lower floor, offering a king-size bed, an attractive ensuite, and a quiet workstation where you can answer your emails in peace. The remaining bedrooms are located on the upper floor. The primary suite has a sumptuous king-size bed and refined ensuite, while the third bedroom has a double bed that would be ideal for older teens. The fourth bedroom is designed to provide a snuggly haven for younger guests, with a single-over-single bunk bed and a separate single bed.

Simon Close has a final surprise – two beautiful mature gardens attached to the home. The patio area is filled with statement planting and a BBQ for those relaxed Sunday family cookouts. The larger main garden has a lawn where you can enjoy family games or relaxed picnics. All in all, Simon Close offers plenty of space, comfort and privacy, while remaining close to the heart of the action.

  • This home has air conditioning in the master bedroom only. Between June and September we will place fans in each room that needs them.

  • This home is spread over three floors with no internal elevator.

  • The second bedroom is on the lower-ground floor.

  • One loveable cat lives at this home. They won’t be there during your stay however this home may not be suitable for those with allergies.

  • There is a sofabed in the playroom which can be set up for two. Please let us know when you book if you would like it prepared.

  • There is limited storage in the playroom.

  • The fireplace in this home is ornamental.

  • There is construction taking place on the same mews as this home.

  • This home is a much-loved family home and so it shows some signs of wear and tear.

BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

Cancellation. Provided you book more than 7 days before the start of your stay, you can cancel your booking within 24 hours and we’ll provide a full refund.

Check-in and check-out. We’ll meet you at the home at your convenience any time after 4PM on your arrival date, and our standard check-out time is 11AM. Early check-in and late
check-out can be arranged in advance, subject to availability and a charge.

Lead guest. The lead guest must be at least 25 years of age.

I.D. check and card authorisation. When you arrive we’ll check the lead guest’s I.D. and secure a £1,000 hold on a credit or debit card which will be released once we confirm no damage
was caused during your stay.

Smoking. Guests are not permitted to smoke inside any onefinestay home.

Cleaning. We carefully clean and prepare each home before you arrive and after you depart, and for stays longer than seven days we provide a complimentary weekly Housekeeping service.
More frequent Housekeeping visits can be arranged on request, subject to availability and a charge.

Payment. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express, and bank transfers for stays with at least 7 days’ notice.
