Make believe

As any child knows, being cooped up at home is no fun at all. It’s dull, isn’t it? Not here. With its ginormous garden, bouncy trampoline and cool TV room, Macaulay Road makes a mockery of boredom. But don’t worry, because those grown-ups will be kept rather busy too. The huge kitchen is just perfect for their dinner parties, the home gym lets guests work off any overindulgence and the décor is a delightful blend of period features along with Prada, Gucci and Chanel. All that and Clapham waits just outside…

Fun and fancy

Needless to say, Macaulay Road makes an awesome adventure playground for your host’s young children. You’ll also notice a passion for high fashion in your hostess’s very classy furnishings.

Inner child

Take a long look at the graceful, tree-shaded street before you head in. With so much to occupy you in this home, it may be some time before you see it again. Begin your explorations in the sitting room. Filled with light from the garden, it’s a huge, sociable space with inviting sofas, a table for ten and a super stylish kitchen. Bar stools let you keep the chef company, and when dinner’s ready, all can sup in style beneath a glittery chandelier. Or, head outdoors and fire up the barbecue as the little ones scamper for the trampoline.

Those who love to lounge can choose from the plush entrance room or a spacious TV room, while the gym will give anyone a good workout. When you’re ready for bed, there are no less than seven rooms at your service. All have a TV, and one of the children’s rooms even has a climbable wall. The master is majestic, with a chandelier and fireplace, as well as a dressing room and ensuite. You’ve also five more marvellous bathrooms.

World of imagination

Do keep some energy spare, because yet more amusement awaits outside. The Common couldn’t be closer, and once you’ve picnicked or strolled to your heart’s content, there’s Clapham Old Town, with its sundry elegant shops, cute cafes and delis. Rummage for trinkets in Northcote Road market, or whisk the kids off to the West End. The tube from Clapham Common to Oxford Circus takes under twenty minutes.
